“Called to go beyond the four walls and serve God’s people with compassion and purpose.”
"No member of our family is ever alone. If you or a loved one are homebound or in the hospital, our SMM Chaplains would love to visit you to pray and share Communion together."
SMM Ordained Chaplains
Tina and Alarice are Ordained Chaplains of Sunrise Mountain Ministries they are compassionate servants of God, prayerfully trained and duly ordained to extend the pastoral care of the church beyond the sanctuary walls. They serve as a vital expression of Christ’s love by ministering to individuals and families who are unable to attend worship due to illness, age, hospitalization, or physical limitation.
Our chaplains are committed to faithfully visiting members in their homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and care centers to provide Holy Communion, prayer, encouragement, and spiritual comfort. In keeping with the example of Jesus Christ, they lovingly minister to the sick and the shut-in, offering hope, dignity, and the assurance that no one is forgotten or alone.
Each ordained chaplain is trained to serve with reverence, confidentiality, compassion, and spiritual sensitivity, working under the spiritual authority and oversight of Sunrise Mountain Ministries. Through prayer, Scripture, and the ministry of presence, they bring peace to troubled hearts and strengthen faith during times of vulnerability and transition.
The Chaplaincy Ministry stands as a sacred extension of the church’s pastoral mission—meeting people where they are, nurturing spiritual well-being, and demonstrating the love of Christ through faithful service.
“I was sick, and you visited me.” — Matthew 25:36
